What age is HydroKids for?
HydroKids is made for kids aged 4 and up. It's water-based hydration, not an energy drink, and nothing in it is a stimulant.
If there's no added sugar, what makes it sweet?
We use stevia, a natural sweetener from the leaves of the stevia plant. It gives HydroKids a fruity taste without any added sugar, and each 250ml bottle has just 10 kcal.
Is stevia safe for kids?
Yes. Stevia (steviol glycosides) is approved for use in beverages by FSSAI, India's food safety authority, and has been reviewed as safe by international food safety bodies, including the WHO's expert committee on food additives. We use it in small amounts, well within the permitted limits. If your child has a specific medical condition, please check with your doctor.
How many bottles a day can my child have?
We recommend up to 2 bottles a day as part of a balanced diet, for example one at school and one after play or sports.
Does HydroKids replace water?
No. HydroKids is a tasty way to help kids drink more through the day, but it doesn't replace plain water. Kids should still drink water regularly.
Does it need to be refrigerated?
It tastes best chilled, so we recommend keeping it in the fridge. Unopened bottles can be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, refrigerate and finish within a day.
What's the difference between natural, nature-identical and artificial fruit flavours?
Natural fruit flavours come only from real food sources such as fruits, plants, herbs or spices. They are extracted using traditional or physical methods like cold pressing, distillation or fermentation, with no synthetic chemicals created. Their taste is rich and layered, and can vary slightly with the season or crop.
Nature-identical fruit flavours are made in a laboratory to match the exact molecular structure of a flavour found in nature. For example, the molecule that gives strawberries their taste is recreated in a lab instead of being extracted from strawberries. They are identical in chemical make-up and taste to the natural version, but cheaper and more sustainable to produce.
Artificial flavours are created entirely in a lab from non-food raw materials, such as petroleum by-products. They are engineered to imitate a natural taste or to create new flavours that don't exist in nature. They taste bold and consistent, but lack the complex notes of real fruit.
The flavouring used in each HydroKids bottle is listed in the ingredients on the pack.
Is HydroKids safe for kids with allergies?
HydroKids is non-GMO and gluten-free. If your child has specific allergies, please check the full ingredient list on the bottle or contact us before giving it to them.
